Falling Leaves

When I saw these tiles in House Beautiful, I instantly wanted to be surrounded by everything Fall. It is my favorite season and I always look forward to the transition. I thought these would be great in a bowl or dish or hung from a thin jute twine in an entryway like falling leaves from the sky. Now I will be on the hunt for a gorgeous trench coat!

Better Check the Calendar

The Bell Jar in San Francisco will definitely be an upcoming adventure for Two Tall Girls. Since it's opening was announce by Design Sponge in May, I've been intrigued.

This is the kind of fabulous shop we will have one day. A little new, a little old; all gorgeous!

Choose One

If you could choose any lamp which one would it be? This was a game my mother and I use to play when we were shopping. How to play? You look at the items and make a choice. Go from your gut, not price, not décor, just if you could choose one which would it be?

Domino Room Makeover

Every time I look at this room I have to confront my fear of wallpaper. I know it’s been back around for awhile and it’s so different from the stuff they used decades ago. I’m just not sure I can do it, but I really, really want to!

I’m thinking about using it in a room that if I hate it, it won’t bother me too much because I won’t see it all the time? Maybe my husband’s office?

Is that fair? He’ll have to put it up too. I do love it so! Hhmmmmm...

Great Space

This little house has a great story. It's owners, Tyler and David Colgan have done something completely out of the ordinary with it. When it was purchased, it was a two bedroom, two bath home. They began renovation and without adding any square footage, they have transformed it into a four bedroom, three and a half bath home for their family. Way to make use of a space!

Tyler is an interior designer and David is an architect so not only does their space function well, it looks great too. Ideas I'm tucking away for use in my own home; lamps in the kitchen, large outdoor lanterns and dark grey window trim!

Dreaming of Nathan Turner

So I was flipping through an old Domino and there it was, my new favorite website, NathanTurner.com. His shop looks amazing and so European except for the cute boy, that clearly looks American. I have read some of his pieces from food network and domino magazine, great style and sense of humor. When we are in L.A. I will be stopping by! Maybe he will be hosting one of his parties and I can offer to fluff the pillows if he’ll let me stay and eat and drink. A girl can dream…right!

Open for Business

Our Etsy shop, Two Tall Girls is open for business! We will be adding new things often, focusing on vintage and hand made home decor. Take a look.

An Introduction

Once upon a time there were two women… uuuhhh, yeah right like this is a fairy tale with a Happy ending. I can guarantee there is no magic palace, only the desire to decorate as though we lived in one! The happy ending, well what can I say, only time will tell and we’re expecting one (law of attraction, right?). But as with most stories it’s always about the journey, the mishaps, good and bad fortune and the people and experience along the way. This brings us to the present and the beginning of the adventure, the partnership, the obsession of Two Tall Girls.

We are two women, not that we like the sound of that cause we are a lot more fun than the word lends the imagination to believe so I guess girls is the word. We are mothers, wives, friends obsessed with design, décor, fabric, plants, pop culture and everything in-between that is associated with the like.

We invite you to come along for the ride and hope you will keep us on track if we stray too far. We want to contribute to this planet by using, buying, selling vintage and new décor that will help make your house a home, a place you’d rather be more than anywhere else. We will share our fondness for many, many things. So stay tuned for Two Tall Girls, the adventure…
