Make a Mistake

I adore these erasers. So, feel free to make a mistake and put these tiny pieces of art to work.

Lady Banks

My Lady Banks is in full bloom. I have two along my side fence and they both are so vibrant and robust. It is a perfect view from my kitchen sink window. My neighbors which I share this fence and plant with are very pleased too. I love the first blooms of Spring!

Pretty

I think for many people, the bath is either something that they can't live without or they never use it at all. For that reason, everyone should have one as beautiful as one of these so that if it isn't ever used at least it's a fantastic piece of art for the bathroom.

Restorationn

I have been a big fan of Restored furniture for a long time and most of the reproductions seem too modern when they are completed. This new line really seems to have done it well. I love these wine barrel chandelier and the table and chairs. This would make my dining room really happy.

Inspirational

A Flor catalog is more like a magazine to me. I save them all for future inspiration. Their rooms are designed superbly. I love the variety of style and the way that they mix traditional with moderns so seamlessly.

Dreaming

I am loving this space. It reminds me of being in an elegant covered horse-drawn carriage riding through the woods. What a comfortable way to travel.

Yahsu!

I think I'll go. (sometime) I have been thinking about a destination that I can dream about. I think it is Greece. I have had the pleasure of knowing some wonderful Greeks. With the food, simple decor and landscape how could I go wrong? In the future I will blog about my buying trip to Greece, until then... yiamas!

On Second Thought

I used to wear a dress 2-3 times a week. I can't tell you how many people commented about how much effort I put into those days. I knew it was cheating, just pull a dress over your head, slip on sandals and you're done. Somewhere over the course of the last 5 years, I've stopped wearing them.

This combination from JCrew along with a few others I spotted in there this evening, have me rethinking the casual dress. It is certain to be back in my spring wardrobe.

Embellishment

According to the Domino article (February 2009) this portico was added to the houses facade for added interest. It certainly works.

Monochromatic

I tend to be more drawn to a this simple look. I am loving these items, especially the mirrored clock. I think the coffee table is perfect for the outdoor living room and I think my scoots would be very happy atop this wool cut-out floral ottoman.

Hamptons

I love this photo. It's how my house in the Hampton's would look. I can see my whole house in this simple clean white decor and the grounds covered in blue hydrangeas. I especially adore the finger sponges in the large white bowl.

A Bee Thing

Bees are amazing insects. As spring heads our way, they are working hard, enabling much of the beauty blooming around us. Here are some great art pieces showcasing their amazing beauty.

Expression

I just adore this room. The yellow is so cheerful and I appreciate the repetition of nature in the chandelier, the embroidery of the pillows and the artwork.

In my opinion, a child's room is the most important room of the house to be made special. I've always viewed the making up the rooms of my children as a special gift of love from me to each of them. I take a great deal of time and care coming up with just the right expression for the stage of life that they are in. I want them to look back on their childhood bedrooms fondly.

Form & Function

So much to love at Smith & Hawken right now. My garden/yard has been on my mind since January. Each of these items would go a long way towards elevating the style of any garden and they are even functional! That's a bonus.

Simply

Spectacular!! Rebel and I frequently lament the fact that we live where there really aren't many old. beautiful derelict homes to live in. Oh, imagine what's behind this door.
