This year I must go through all of the Christmas bins and sort the good from the bad and purge. It appears that I have put it off for far too long and now I can't ignore it yet another year. Thoughts on organizing? Do share!
The chocolate advent calendars are almost empty, family will arrive soon, and the shopping completed. Now it's just a waiting game. The children are filled with anticipation. It really is exciting and I cherish every Christmas.
I am not typically a fan of gold unless it is subtle. Too off it has a harsh brassy tone that scream "cheap" not "chic". I think both of these rooms are done right.
I am trying to sort through my dining room and I can't keep my thoughts straight. In the meantime, I will continue to swoon over these old Cottage Living pieces. Oh! how I miss thee.
I adore antique silver. I have been going through my cabinets to determine what I need for gatherings and found this collection. Although not heirloom it looks like it has been around for years.
Such a rich, calm entry. I love all the warm brown woods and it's amazing how much the single tree branch does. It would be a much different feel without it. House Beautiful
I love party planning and I found this cute blog with a business behind it. Hhhmmm, someday I too will have a party planning business along with all the other business' I imagine myself running.
I'm going to do my best to get into the Christmas spirit over the weekend. I need to decorate the house. I want to keep it simple. I really like this. A lot.
I love the simplicity of this sitting area. All of the neutrals; white couch, grey walls. It's the details that adds interest. Most especially the painted paneling. I love those lines.
Lately I have been contemplating if I should have bookshelves built into our Great room. It would create symmetry and give me a place to store books, (of all things!) pottery, pictures and of course shells.
Perfect shopping attire? Something comfortable, fashionable, layered for going in and out of stores, casual in feel but formal enough for lunch out. JCrew (of course)
I'm a guest this year. I'm looking forward to it but I do miss planning the meal and the table setting. How will you be setting your table? Martha Stewart, Pottery Barn
We are two women, not that we like the sound of that because we are a lot more fun than the word lends the imagination to believe. We are mothers, wives, and friends obsessed with design, décor, fabric, foliage, pop culture and everything in-between that is associated with the like.
