In Summary

We are truly visual people so this blog will always serve as a reference point for us in each of our individual projects. We hope that it might be for you as well.

This shared adventure has been fun and we thank you for having been a part of it. For our final post, we thought we'd share links to our favorite posts except that we can't choose because these are all things that we love!

So we'll simply say thank you and farewell.

Wouldn't this Italian postcard be such a fun large scale poster?! I love all the colors and font styles.

Latest Project

This is inspiration for my new project. We ripped out the morning glories that took over the yard and added creeping fig. My hope is that it will take over and cover my fence line. I despise looking at a fence in my yard and hopefully this will do the trick. The problem is I want it filled in now!

Winding Down

I thought the image of these tops is appropriate for letting you know that our final post from TTG will be on Friday. We have had such a great time blogging, writing for our newspaper, and selling on etsy, but we have different lives, and are starting new chapters. Hope you will be around for the next few days as we bid farewell.

A Bright Spot

You know what they say about first impressions, well this entry sure makes a good one on me. I would love to know what the rest of the house looks like, wouldn't you?

Favorites

These rustic rooms are soothing and romantic to me. The wine holder in the kitchen reminds
me of a bee hive, the backsplash in the kitchen and the chandelier and wall sconces. Love!

Daydreaming

In my daydream, this is the interior of the pool house in our backyard where we hang out and entertain all spring & summer, in style.

Boxwood

I love the clean manicured look of boxwood shrubs. I am wondering if there is a place that I can achieve this look in my own garden.

Abigail

It's hard to believe that 10 years ago today I was busy giving birth to you. What an amazing little spirit you have. I don't know how I was so blessed to have been chosen your mother but I am thankful everyday for it. Here's to my first born turning a double digit.

Overhaul

My master bath needs an overhaul but I'm going to have to settle for a fresh paint job and new towels. I love this bath, it's so soothing and fresh feeling; the benefit of keeping things simple.

Shop

I am off for a day of shopping with a few friends. We have a group that gets together twice a year to do a major shopping trip. Usually there is a big overhaul taken on by the group. One year everyone got fitted for a new bra, another, we all got and wore false eyelashes. Fun! I have not been to a mall in awhile which is rare for me. I'm a shopper, not always a buyer, but I like to shop. Hopefully, there will be a few things that I like. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the many laughs we have throughout the day.

Gated

I love garden gates, any gates really. I think the privacy is intriguing and the foliage that usually accompanies them, outstanding!

Sea

Any mention of Summer brings the Sea to mind. I adore anything associated with it. I would love to fill a big vase with these finger sponges to create a lasting bouquet. A pedicure with coral colored polish, I can just fill the sand in between my toes.

Planning Ahead

With spring just around the corner, I can't help but jump ahead to thoughts of summer. I'd love to add these two pieces to my seasonal wardrobe.

Bloom

I am thrilled to see that my lilacs that have not always been faithful producers are well on there way to a fabulous spring bloom. I have five different plants and I am eager to get the fragrant purple gems into a vase on my night stand. Nothing like waking to the smell of fresh flowers.

And the Oscar goes to...

I am excited to attend our annual Academy awards party tonight. For the past few years one of my friends has hosted a party and we all vote on all the categories. The winner gets to take home the "oscar" until next year. I hope my picks come through this year.

These rooms are so beautiful. The blues are calming and inviting. The tufted settee is an amazing place to relax with friends while sipping a Manhattan.

It's so hard to believe that this is the last weekend of February. Let's make it a good one.

Grand

I love anything associated with time. Watches, clocks, punctuality. (It's odd now that I think about it). I have often thought of purchasing a Grandfather clock for my home but can't commit to the space and exact style that I could live with for years to come. This solution from anthropologie is ideal. It's art and a working clock. Ideal!

I have yet to plant a flat of small succulents found at an amazing mark down last month. These two images are fantastic inspiration and may just lead me to do something a little more out of the ordinary with them.

The clouds & rain are heading back in for the weekend. I'm going to choose to ignore it and visualize myself here instead.

Anticipation

We have had lovely weather and I am so excited for Spring and all it has to offer. (sorry for all of you trapped under feet of snow, gotta love California!) I took a walk through the garden to access the winter damage and what I need to replace. I am eager to host some great parties in the yard. Nothing like cool spring nights with good food and friends in the great outdoors.

A Galley Gallery

If a kitchen has to be small, at least it can still be beautiful.
