Rebel's Musings on Taxidermy

Here's a subject that's been bothering me lately: taxidermy. It's everywhere and frankly, I have a problem with it. What is it about stuffed, preserved, dead animals that we need to see?

The constant stare from the creature is rather unnerving. I know there are many design layouts that show them, and they really look properly placed, but I would not feel good sitting on someone’s couch, under a deer head that they purchased. That’s the other thing, many times it’s not even a trophy from an adventure, but something someone saw in a shop and thought to themselves, “That is what I need to complete my living room”. (and shelled out a lot of $$ for it too)!

I’m sorry I just don’t get it!
